success story

H.A.

It was almost 3 years ago that the Universe guided me to Kris. At that time I was an ex-smoker, 20lbs overweight, out of shape and leading a very sedentary lifestyle. I hadn’t done any dedicated form of exercise for over 20 years, other than the occasional stop start, non directional lacklustre effort. This often followed an overzealous; alcohol induced New Year’s resolution and more often than not resulted in some form of injury and ultimate abandonment!

I was not happy that I had let myself go over the years, from being a fairly competitive sportsman in my younger age. As a result I was frustrated with my self-image, but I remained unmotivated and unsure of how to change it. Gym’s intimidated me, and any form of serious exercise on my own, totally overwhelmed me! I lacked the discipline and commitment to follow through...

Soon after meeting Kris (and commencing an organized training program), I realized that this was going to be much more than just getting fit and in better shape. This was in fact the initial phase of building the ‘new me’ and really just the first chapter of my dramatic personal evolution. Not only was I to develop as an athlete but more importantly as a person, a partner, a parent and a friend. “Look better & feel better” definitely took on a whole new meaning for me...

Kris’ genuine interest in my overall well being and her guidance on issues such as nutrition, lifestyle and health have proved invaluable. Combined with her positive attitude, enthusiasm, input, feedback, goal setting and motivation, Kris not only keep’s me on track but also makes me feel very special. It feels really great to know that someone actually cares and believes in me, my well being and my athletic ability!

In November of 2008, and after an absence from long distance running of over 26 years, I completed my first ever marathon in New York City. What’s more, I did this in my personal best time! This was a goal that Kris and I had identified in January 2008, and after a dedicated and disciplined training schedule, culminated in great success and personal fulfilment for me.

In 2009, my personal goals are to run the Seattle Marathon in June, the New York marathon in November and also, to compete in my first ever Olympic triathlon in May. Quite a change from when I first met Kris...

In my opinion, Kris is by far one of the most conscientious, committed and dedicated professionals that I have ever met. Not only does she “talk the talk”, but clearly she also “walks the walk” and leads by absolute example! She is truly a credit to her industry and a valuable asset, to anyone interested in improving themselves. I would highly endorse and recommend her services.
